multi racial country

i am a Malaysian for all my life and being brought up in this multi racial country. i was sent to school where all the races mix together to get knowledge, but then by the time i get into the society, it is not as it seems to be, we were being educated together but once we step into the society, each and everyone seems to go their way and do not want to get together in whatever they do, everyone seems to only want to be with their own race and religion. not bothering the other races and religion, some even dislike other religion and race... why does this have to happen.. why do we Malaysians so vaguely show that to observers from the foreign countries and let them point fingers at our country.. i feel really ashamed.. i want to be proud yet i cannot cos even i myself see the situation.. have a look around you and observe for yourself, i bet you will agree.. if not then i will point out one after another on how our situation is..
